Our World

Upon Denver’€™s demise, Boulder became a key location in Colorado. It houses an Embassy for United America. A number of citizens and their families live and work in Boulder at the Embassy. Boulder is a hub for military transport and government slaves at the Denver Excavation Project. This project’€™s goal is to salvage, repair, and rebuild the fallen city of Denver. Similar projects exist across Mutopia as well. There is no Mutant Academy in Boulder. Therefore, there aren’€™t many powered teens or pre-teens around, with the exception of during breaks from school. Boulder is surrounded by a perimeter fence. Only those with proper documentation are allowed to travel in and out of the city.

The city is also a central station stop for the Underground Railroad. Many United America citizens support the Railroad, although not all are in favor of it. Many mutants are trying to rebuild the life, and culture they had before the war. Many stores on the famous outdoor mall at Pearl Street have been re-opened; new mutants move to Boulder regularly. The atmosphere is less liberal than it used to be, due to the constant military presence. This doesn’€™t stop the citizens from trying to live like they once did.
